Rio (she/her) is thrilled to serve as the Events and Outreach Manager at Wasatch Community Gardens. With over 15 years of event experience, Rio has curated everything from intimate gatherings to large-scale art festivals, blending her passion for connection with a knack for seamless logistics. As a long-time participant in Salt Lake’s arts and cultural communities, Rio brings a deep understanding of fostering engagement and building inclusive spaces. When she’s not working, Rio loves outdoor adventures, including hiking, camping, canyoneering, and white-water rafting. Exploring Utah’s breathtaking landscapes, whether navigating slot canyons, conquering rapids, or stargazing in the desert, fuels her inspiration and sense of connection to the natural world. Rio’s dedication to cultivating community through creativity and connection aligns perfectly with WCG’s mission, and she is excited to help grow the impact of gardens as spaces for learning, nourishment, and togetherness.
