I am a person that is in recovery from several mental health diagnoses, as well as an addiction that has led me to where I am today. I am proud to say I am medication free and have chosen to take a harm reduction approach in my all-around recovery. I have worked with those experiencing homelessness for about 8 or 9 years now. During that time, I had experienced homelessness myself. I am a believer in the saying "when we treat people better, they will naturally in turn do better". In this position, I plan to foster growth and advocate for all the necessary avenues a person needs in their healing to move forward. Let's not base our work on outcomes and numbers. Let's base it on what people need in order to grow and get to a better place of stability and community involvement. I am still in the process of recovery and learning what my recovery looks like everyday. Today I love spending time with my 2 sons, playing sports, conversations, shopping, and being in the mountains.
