Tia Mitsinikos

Tia (they/she) hails from New York, where they got their start gardening. After earning a degree in Biology from Wheaton College, MA, they have worked in education, agriculture and conservation. Since moving to Salt Lake City in 2019 to work on an ecological monitoring project, they have worked on or volunteered with 5 different farms along the Wasatch Front. They have also been involved in community organizing with the Mobile Moon Coop and Utah Food Coalition. Tia looks forward to continuing to support a more resilient local food system as Community Garden Partnership Coordinator. In addition to food, they are a nerd for writing, knitting and romping around outside.
